One of the keys to a rewarding legal strategy is a keen understanding of which accounts are suit worthy. This assessment can change as the consumer’s situation changes or additional information comes to light. Velocity uses an analytic model based on hundreds of thousands of accounts in its historical database that uses debtor assets, balance size, age, chain of title, access to account documentation, state statutes, number and nature of previous collection attempts and other important factors to determine which accounts to refer for legal action.

Periodically, the entire portfolio is re-scored, which drives account level changes to strategy.
